New Orleans Woman Charged in Mississippi Murder

Authorities have arrested Showanda Carter, a New Orleans resident, in connection with the murder of Clint Williams, also from New Orleans.

The investigation began on October 30, when Pearl River County deputies responded to the discovery of a body on Oscar Smith Road in Carriere, Mississippi. The victim, identified as Williams, had suffered multiple gunshot wounds.

Through their investigation, deputies developed a timeline and identified Carter as the primary suspect. She has since been charged with murder.

The case remains under investigation as officials work to uncover further details.
