Torrence Hatch a.k.a Lil Boosie was back in 19th Circuit Court today. His attorneys were looking to get East Baton Rouge District Attorney Hillar Moore recused from the case. Their reasoning is that some of Hatch’s lyrics are demeaning to the district attorney and therefore Moore could not fairly try the case. Moore says that while the rapper’s lyrics are offensive to him, he still has a job to do. Lil Boosie’s attorneys say though that there is little evidence in the case against their client and the one of the only reasons for the case is because of the disparaging song lyrics. The rapper is currently behind bars on several murder and drug charges. He is next scheduled to appear court in June.
