AMBER BOURNETT STARS AS LAVENDER IN THE STAGE PLAY “THE DELICATE FLOWER”

Amber L.N. Bournett lives in the bustling downtown area of Atlanta where she is pursuing acting and a degree in film. She is currently a series regular on the local Atlanta soap From This Day On. Amber, shares a degree and passion in art, therefore it is quite possible you have seen one of her colorful pieces on some wall of some trendy Atlanta coffee shop. Amber is a military brat, an ice-cream enthusiasts, film nerd and aspiring critically acclaimed director.

THE HEAT: When did you fall in love with the performing arts?
BOURNETT: I think third grade, I tried to write and produce my own play during recess.

THE HEAT: What has been your inspiration as you’ve traveled your journey to this point?
BOURNETT: Trying to be the best at what I love the most and knowing that there is room for my voice and ideas in this world.

THE HEAT: How did you get the role as Lavender in “The Delicate Flower”?
BOURNETT: I auditioned. (she laughs shyly) I really don’t know, I assumed Shakeia and E believed and trusted my portrayal of the Lavender.

THE HEAT: Most actors/actresses play roles that have nothing at all to do with their personal life. How does your part in this production relate to your life, if at all?
BOURNETT: I can relate to the constant moving around as a child. Also the need to, every now and then, act out and cry when things don’t go your way or when you don’t understand what’s happening around you. I think everyone has those moments.

THE HEAT: What are some other productions you have been in or a part of?
BOURNETT: Currently, I’m in a web series, “From This Day On.” I also just completed production on stage play dealing with human trafficking. I’m also doing some directing.

THE HEAT: If you could have one dream to come true at this very moment, what would it be?
BOURNETT: Just one, hmmmm. Win an Oscar, lol. Or maybe direct and Oscar winning film, either one.

THE HEAT: What has been the most challenging part of “The Delicate Flower” to get produced and to the stage in your opinion?
BOURNETT: Marketing!

THE HEAT: Is there someone that today you would call your hero/shero?
BOURNETT: My family is full of heroic people, I can’t just pick one.

THE HEAT: What’s next for you after “The Delicate Flower”?
BOURNETT: Directing a short film and web series.

THE HEAT: What is one thing you’re hoping that the audience will take away from “The Delicate Flower”?
BOURNETT: In one word, “GROWTH”.

Well Amber Bournett we are looking forward to seeing you do your thing in the heart felt theatrical play, “The Delicate Flower”. We will have our eye out for you to see just what you will soon be directing and starring in.

Much Love! One Love!
