ARTIST SPOTLIGHT: Anaya Daffè

“Stick to what you’re used to cuz dem other chicks ain’t built like me, I’m cut from a different cloth, bloodline of a higher pedigree, It’s A Game I know. I play it well too.”- Anaya Daffè

With an amazing and beautiful voice, rising star Anaya Daffè has emerged on the music scene with a fervor that is creating a lot of buzz – and well it should. As her Bio so eloquently explains, she is a talented artist whose work reflects real life.

Anaya Daffè‘s resume contains entries for not only hard work, but also hard times that have led her to be the woman -and artist – that she is today. She has been described as being capable of taking her “vocal attributes from tha block to the booth with ease.” That description is certainly an accurate one.  What’s more than that, is that she makes no secret that she is the sum of her experiences – and she makes no apologies for that fact.

Anaya Daffè‘s Official Bio contains an entry that states, “Having a musical calling that mimics a southern songbird, Anaya Daffe’ takes her vocal attributes from tha block to tha booth with ease.  Anaya was born in Ft. Carson. Co and just like its mountainous terrain, her life would unfold just as rocky. After relocating and traveling the map she landed in the south and planted her roots. Having lost what feels like a nation of close friends, lovers, and family members to unparallel amounts of street violence Anaya reluctantly had to continue to move forward. It was not just because her talent deserved to flourish, but in memorandum of all those who believed in her ability to dream big, and live those dreams to the fullest.” Through seeing the results of her hard work come to fruition, she is doing just that – honoring the memory of her close ones who were not as fortunate.

Anaya Daffè has become a role model to females who may need not only uplifting, but whom may need the confidence to move on from whatever trials and tribulations they may have been through in their lives. The Heat Magazine asked Anaya for her advice to young people, as well as her plans for the future and here is what she had to say:

THE HEAT MAGAZINE:  What cautions do you have for young people to keep them away from the streets?

ANAYA: Everything that comes easy isn’t good. I lived and I learned that. I started early so I was fortunate enough to learn my lesson early as well. There’s only so many times people are going to accept the excuse that “Oh, she’s just young and rebellious.” At some point, everyone has to pay their price. When you’re young, it’s easy to make the most superficial things a priority until something happens that opens your eyes back to reality. For some people by that time, it’s too late to make any changes.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE:  What truly made you realize that you were worth so much more, that you decided to focus on the positive such as your music?

ANAYA:  My thought process changed. I’ve lost quite a few people to violence and some were truly innocent bystanders at the wrong place, at the wrong time. I know how much their memory means to me. Losing them made me focus on how I’d want people to remember me and what would I want them to remember me for. So I work hard and give my all to my music the one thing that I never lost even when it felt like I lost everything.

THE HEAT MAGAZINE:  Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

ANAYA:  In 5 years I’d definitely like to be mentioned in the likes of R&B leading ladies. Having my songs in rotation internationally is also something that I’d like to accomplish within the next 5 years. Being an Army brat and spending years overseas, it’s personal to me to be able to build a bridge with my music that will span beyond just the North American market.

Anaya has a new single entitled, “Life Without You.”  Check out her out HERE.

  1. The first day i met Anaya I knew she held a genuine heart of gold..she is a beautiful young black female inside and out…I sat with her on that 1st day and bonded as though we knew each other for years….we shared alot of personal/intimate details of our lives(heartaches, pain)and i shared alot of inspiring and uplifting words of encouragment and she tooked them all in like a sponge. I felt the obsorption by the look in her eyes…Anaya is a listener as well as a responder/giver. She has grown to become more than I would have ever expected an “Artist”, “Singer”, “Song Bird” as you would call her..I did not know that she could sing..Literally…that was one key thing in her life that she never shared with me. I found this out through my reconnection with her through her Facebook page. Thank you Facebook for reconnecting me Ms. Anaya Daffe’. I am so very proud of you! keep inspiring many! Love you!
