Memphis Social Media Star Sentenced to 10 Years in Murder-for-Hire Case

Ashley Grayson, a Memphis social media influencer known for her rags-to-riches story, has been sentenced to 120 months in federal prison for her involvement in a murder-for-hire scheme. The sentence, handed down by a federal judge, is the maximum allowed for the crime.

Grayson rose to internet fame with claims of building a multimillion-dollar business starting with an overdrawn bank account. Her online courses, which promised to help people repair their credit and achieve financial success, drew significant attention. She showcased her opulent lifestyle on social media, sharing glimpses of her North Carolina mansion and a yacht proposal featuring a serenade by R&B star Monica.

Despite her public generosity, including gifting a house to a Memphis mother, federal prosecutors revealed a darker side. According to court documents, Grayson invited a Memphis woman and her boyfriend to Dallas under the guise of a “business opportunity.” The details of the plan and her involvement in orchestrating the crime ultimately led to her arrest and conviction.

The case has shocked her followers and serves as a stark reminder of the hidden truths that can lie behind social media personas.
