Special recognition belongs to the incredible Research Day Quad Chairs:

A Southern Touch
As a sweet bonus to the day’s elegance, the Eta Kappa Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated presented a handcrafted Southern porch display for May Week.
Their theme, “Down in the South,” was a loving tribute to heritage, beauty, and the comfort of home — the kind of detail that makes Spelman feel like no place else.

A Moment of Music
The air lit up again with the sound of Spelman Noire (@spelmannoire) warming up nearby.
Their harmonies — angelic and confident — invited listeners to sway, smile, and soak up the joy.
Their voices didn’t just fill the space; they elevated it.
That spontaneous burst of celebration reminded everyone that at Spelman, excellence takes many forms — and sometimes, it sings.

To every scholar who presented…
To every woman who poured her heart into this day…

We prepare with elegance, speak with purpose, and rise with intention.

Here’s to you.
