A high school teacher who confessed to having sex with two of her underage students is now facing another charge after a third student came forward.
Earlier this month, two Arlington High School students – aged 16 and 17 – claimed they were involved in a relationship with Stacy Hopkins, 28.
After she confessed to the affairs another 17-year-old student said he also had a relationship with her which started earlier this year.
He said that each incident took place at her Cordova home.
Investigators said cellular phone records supported details of the relationship provided by the victim.
She was arrested and released on $25,000 bond on Saturday.
According to WMCTV, Hopkin’s ex-boyfriend went to the school after he discovered she had sent nude photos of herself to the students.
Hopkins is on unpaid leave from Arlington High School. She has taught P. E. at the school for six years.
She was also the assistant junior varsity basketball coach.
The 28-year-old is charged with three felony counts of statutory rape by an authority figure and two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Neighbour Melissa Powell told WMCTV: ‘She’s got to pay for the consequences of her actions and get some help for this.’
