One Dead, Two Injured in Interstate Shooting Near North Little Rock

An early morning shooting on Interstate 40 near Protho Junction in North Little Rock left one teen dead and two others injured, according to the Arkansas State Police.

Around 3:45 a.m. Saturday, a 20-year-old man drove three teenagers who had been shot to Arkansas Children’s Hospital. Tragically, one of the victims, a 17-year-old, succumbed to his injuries. Another 17-year-old and an 18-year-old were also shot; one has been treated and released, while the other remains hospitalized.

The vehicle also carried two additional occupants, a 16-year-old and an 18-year-old, who were not injured.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the incident. No suspects or motive have been announced at this time.
