Carey’s husband, actor Nick Cannon, confirmed Thursday the couple were
expecting twins and that among the first people to be told were
President Barack Obama and his wife Michelle, People Magazine reported.
Cannon told listeners of his radio show, “We are having twins.”
The couple had been keeping details of the pregnancy under wraps as Carey had suffered a miscarriage two years ago.
But
when they bumped into another power couple — the president and first
lady — backstage at TNT’s “Christmas in Washington 2010,” they let
details spill, Cannon said on his “Rollin’ With Nick Cannon” radio show,
according to People.
