Pine Bluff Police Seek Public’s Help in Locating Shooting Suspect

PINE BLUFF, Ark. – The Pine Bluff Police Department is asking for assistance in locating Jeffery Ventress, 42, who is wanted in connection with a shooting incident on Sunday.

According to a press release issued Monday, Ventress faces charges including terroristic act and possession of firearms by a certain person.

Officers responded to a report of shots fired in the 600 block of North Hutchinson. Upon arrival, they spoke with a woman experiencing a panic attack who was being transported to a hospital.

A witness stated they were giving the woman a ride to get a new tire when a 2008 Ford F150 blocked them in the parking lot of HR Food Mart. The woman identified the truck as belonging to Ventress and warned the driver to get away. As the driver attempted to leave, Ventress allegedly exited the truck, pointed a handgun at them, and fired multiple rounds, striking their vehicle.

Police described Ventress as bald, standing 5’11”, and weighing 160 pounds.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact:

• Detective Office: 870-730-2090

• Dispatch Center: 870-541-5300
