An NFL player is under investigation for allegedly smashing up his ex-girlfriend’s apartment, dousing her possessions in bleach and tearing his son’s crib apart.
Atlanta Falcons cornerback Christopher Owens is accused of trashing LaTia Terry’s flat on Sunday night while she and their nine-month-old son were out.
According to police documents, the 24-year-old smashed holes in the wall, destroyed electronics and shattered a large mirror.
He then piled her closet full of her shoes, designer clothes, purses and jewellery and poured bleach over them.
Miss Terry claims that she lost several pairs of $1,200 shoes and estimates that the total value of the items destroyed by the bleach is around $15,000.
The pair had a heated argument over custody arrangements the night before the incident, sources told TMZ.
According to the police report, Latia Terry said that someone had entered her apartment and damaged it on Sunday night.
