Mother Who Sent Son To School In Wrong Town Could Face Jail – For 20 YEARS

A mother faces up to 20 years in prison for sending her six-year-old son to a school ‘in the wrong town’.

In an astonishing display of heavy-handedness from authorities, Tanya McDowell will be arraigned on Wednesday for charges of ‘larceny and conspiracy to commit larceny’ for allegedly stealing $15,686 from Norwalk schools.

Her crime was to send her son to a school in Norwalk, Connecticut, instead of her home city of Bridgeport. She says she did so because she wanted the best education possible for him.
