Mother Decapitates New-Born Baby And Stuffs It Into Kitchen Container

A mother gave birth to a baby boy prematurely, decapitated him with a knife and stuffed him into a container under her sink, according to police.

Laura Lynn Hickey, 25, from Centralia, Washington, was arrested at her trailer home after a week-long investigation to determine whether her baby was dead, as she claimed, when it was born.

The pathologist concluded that the baby, born at 21 weeks, was alive at birth but suffered ‘fatal injuries by decapitation’.

Police said the body was found on March 2 under the kitchen sink in Hickey’s trailer home.

Paramedics were called to her home just after 1am when neighbours said they heard her call for help.

When she was taken to Centralia Providence Hospital, Hickey told staff that she miscarried the baby some time in the night.

Police made the gruesome discovery when they went to her trailer park home.

Officer John Panco said he expects Hickey to be charged with first-degree murder, assault and possession of methamphetamine when she appears at Lewis County Superior Court later today.
