$3,800 biker jackets and $500 handbags: Gucci opens first standalone CHILDREN’S boutique in New York.
Many items, of course, come in the sophisticated GG logo pattern – cotton layettes in the instantly-distinguishable design making for the best dressed newborns around.
The line, for babies to eight-year-olds, was modelled last year by none other than Jennifer Lopez’ and Marc Anthony’s children, Max and Emme.
A white ‘faux-wrap’ dress costs $495, and a baby winter quilted down coat, complete with fur and a hood, will set a new parent back a cool $795.
But the king of the crop is an adult-style biker jacket in powder pink – a pretty penny for any princess at an eye-watering $3,800.
With stylist Rachel Zoe’s eight-month-old son Skyler already getting a taste for $1000 Gucci jackets, he may be in line for some of the store’s newest offerings.
The fashion house last year donated $1 million to UNICEF’s Schools for Africa and $50,000 to Lopez’s Maribel Initiative to celebrate their children’s line.
