Born to Katherine and Joseph Jackson in Gary, Indiana on Friday, August 29, 1958, named somewhat after his father Joseph Jackson. Michael Jackson became known to the world as an American recording artist, dancer, singer-songwriter, musician, and philanthropist. We remember him for his talent and entertainment bursting on the scene with his brothers, Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, and Marlon, as the Jackson 5 singing their hit single, I Want You Back, in 1964. Bet you didn’t know they were originally The Jackson Brothers, a trio of three, which didn’t include Michael. During his stay here on earth he managed to rock our world gaining the title of “King of Pop” bringing us hits as “Beat It”, “Billie Jean”, and “Thriller”. It is to go without saying who brought us the “robot” and the “moonwalk”. During his career an estimated 750 million recordings were sold world wide. He blow the charts up in 1982 with Thriller, 1979 with Off The Wall, 1991 with Dangerous, and 1995 with HIStory. Michael Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice, a feat that no other entertainer has accomplished. Talking about leaving your mark in history, Michael Jackson certainly did that with 13 Grammy Awards, 26 American Music Awards, and 13 Number one singles in the U.S. Then while preparing to woo us once again with his concert series, This Is It, Michael Jackson died of acute propofol intoxication suffering a heart attack on Thursday, June 25, 2009. Talking about coincidences! He was born on Friday the 25th and died Thursday the 25th at the age of 50. 25 plus 25…wow! But today we recognize and remember the The Man In The Mirror, Michael Joseph Jackson, aka, Michael Jackson!

Rest In Peace Michael! To answer one of your recordings, Can You Feel It, oh yes, we felt it!
