(CNN) — A dispute over a cell phone led to the murder of a 12-year-old girl. That’s the story out of Detroit. Police have arrested a woman and her 19-year-old son in connection with the shooting.
Amanda Talton hugs her son tightly and cries for her 12-year-old Kadejah Davis. Kadejah was shot and killed in her home.
The bullet holes still very much visible in the wall. Amanda says, “I miss her so much. I just need her to come back. She’s just well loved.”
Friends and family held a vigil for the 12-year-old in front of her home on Ferguson Street. The shooting happened there Tuesday night just before 9 p.m.
Police say five bullets sprayed the front door of the home after police say mom had an argument with two people. Talton says she had just returned home from checking on her tax return when a woman from the tax service showed up with a man.
