A month after saying “I Do”, retired NFL linebacker Chris Drafts wife made the transition to the other world today.
Draft played a 12-year career for the Falcons. He released this statement in representation of his family.
“Not just an inspiration, but a light, and a force that led the way with a beautiful, sweet smile and bright shining eyes that both belied the pure steel of her strength and determination. Strong is too pale, too shallow and too small of a word to describe Keasha’s vibrancy… Quite simply, she was ferocious. She fiercely held onto life, and love with a forcefulness that was absolutely awe-inspiring and completely breathtaking. Rest in peace, Mrs. Draft”.
The entertaining Twitter was flooded with people remorseful by the Draft’s love story. The household name, Russell Simmons posted his condolences via Twitter, and a guestbook submerged quickly filled with messages of condolences to the Draft family.
Although you were only married for one month, we know that there were many days before today you shared that had much substance and meaning. To the women of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc, we salute your angel as she ascends to a world we know nothing about.
Much Love! One Love!
Feel “The HEAT”
Our hearts here at “THE HEAT” go out to the Draft family and especially to Chris Draft for his lost. It seems Keasha Draft was a remarkable person. To Chris, your lost is one we wish you would not have had to endure. It’s very seldom today to find someone to love with the vibrancy and unconditional love you two shared. R.I.P. Keasha Draft.
