Elizabeth Edwards finally has a gravestone, 19 months after she died of cancer. Until now, only a small printed card showed the final resting place of the wife of two-time Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards.
Elizabeth’s siblings chipped in last month to pay for a modest marble foot stone to mark her grave at Oakwood Cemetery in Raleigh, North Carolina.
It was revealed in June that Elizabeth, who developed a national following after writing books about her battle with cancer and her husband’s humiliating affair with Rielle Hunter, lacked a formal gravestone.
