THIS JUST IN: The Pulaski County Sheriff’s Office confirms an incident at the Maumelle home of boxer Jermain Taylor. Initial reports are that an intruder was shot.
PULASKI COUNTY, AR – Pulaski county investigators are at the home of Arkansas boxer Jermain Taylor trying to piece together what led to a shooting that sent one person and a possible intruder to the hospital.
Authorities have been on the scene and outside the gate to Taylor’s home for nearly three hours.
The home is few hundred yards through that gate and that’s where the sheriffs office says they received an “intruder call” around 6:00 p.m. saying someone had been shot.
The person who was shot was found injured at a Dollar General just a few blocks away and taken to the hospital.
When asked if Taylor was hurt, authorities say medical has not been there to treat him.
Authorities have released very few details about the alleged suspect or suspects they’re saying there could be more than one.
Deputies have manned the entrance all evening and are only allowing investigators and attorneys through, some family members have driven up but noone else is allowed inside the gates.
