PULASKI COUNTY, AR – According to deputies Arkansas Boxer Jermain Taylor has been placed under arrest for Aggravated Assault and First Degree Battery.
Former middleweight boxing champion Jermain Taylor has been arrested following a shooting at his suburban Little Rock home.
Pulaski County Sheriff’s Lt. Carl Minden says Taylor was arrested late Tuesday on charges of aggravated assault and first-degree domestic battery after shooting his cousin and shooting at the cousin’s friend.
Minden says the cousin was hospitalized in serious condition and the other man was not injured. Their names were not released.
Minden says the two men had gone to Taylor’s home in Maumelle on Tuesday afternoon and some sort of altercation broke out before Taylor grabbed a gun and opened fire. Minden said the nature of the dispute remained under investigation.
An after-hours phone call to Taylor’s attorney was not immediately returned.

PULASKI COUNTY, AR – Pulaski county investigators are at the home of Arkansas boxer Jermain Taylor trying to piece together what led to a shooting that sent one person and a possible intruder to the hospital.
Authorities have been on the scene and outside the gate to Taylor’s home for nearly three hours.
The home is few hundred yards through that gate and that’s where the sheriffs office says they received an “intruder call” around 6:00 p.m. saying someone had been shot.
The person who was shot was found injured at a Dollar General just a few blocks away and taken to the hospital.
