When most people think of Southern Rap, they think of Houston, New Orleans or even Baton Rouge, but Little Rock, Arkansas may soon be included on that list.
With an up and coming hip hop scene, Little Rock is poised to become a heavy hitter in the music world, considering some of the artists that hail from the area. The Heat Magazine sat down with one of Little Rock’s stars, E Dubb. Here’s what he had to say:
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What artists or genre(s) of music influenced you the most?
E DUBB: I would say T.I. and Rap/Hip Hop influenced me as well as a little R&B.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Being from the South, you have a unique opportunity to influence Southern Rap.  What are some of your plans for the future?
E DUBB: My plans are to put my city on since Little Rock is kind of slept on. If I can get my city on, a lot more opportunities and jobs could be open to us. Plus, we don’t have any record labels or big time stars down here (other than me) so I want to bring that here
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: If you could work with anyone, who would that be?
E DUBB: I’d like to work with Don Trip, Zed Zilla, Starlitto, Young Buck, Yo Gotti, T.I., and the real independent artists that are truly grinding.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What has had the biggest impact on your music?
E DUBB: My life.
