The “Detroit News” reports the legendary Aretha Franklin has pancreatic cancer.
Franklin canceled all of her upcoming events through early next year recently and had surgery last week at a Detroit hospital.
Dr.
Diane Simeone, who heads up the Pancreatic Tumor Clinic at the
University of Michigan, told the “Detroit News” that people with
pancreatic cancer have just a five-percent chance of living for five
years.
The disease killed actor Patrick Swayze.
