WENDY HALO BRINGS OUT NEW STUNNING SINGLE ‘COMPROMISE’|@halo_wendy

Walking down the beach toward the altar, hand-in-hand with your true love – now, who hasn’t fantasized about this scenario?

It’s a scenario that world-renowned pop artist, Wendy Halo, brings to life in her latest track and music video, “Compromise”, though she doesn’t dwell on only the pleasant aspects of a relationship, but also the hardships and the compromise that is often necessary to make it work.

“You’re the kind of man I want… so why does it feel so hard?” Halo asks, insisting that “we can save our love” as long as we don’t “dramatize”.

Although laden with a heavy message, the song itself is a thoroughly uplifting one. Set to the dance-y rhythm of a modern pop tune, “Compromise” also suggests an old school, gospel approach to music. And so, it manages to make you think about life and love, as well as getting you to dance and feel good about yourself, which is precisely what a quality tune should do.

WENDY HALO“Compromise” isn’t a song for wallowing, but one that invites you to live, to experience the music with every fiber of your being and enjoy yourself.

“Love is only good when you feel alive”, Halo sings in her hauntingly beautiful voice, the result of being born into a family of gospel-singers.

Though she remains faithful to her upbringing and her roots, Halo realizes the need of bringing gospel into the 21st century and skillfully combines these two worlds of gospel and pop music.

And just as you feel it’s too much for you and that Halo’s mesmerizing voice is getting a tad too repetitive, the song breaks to a hip-hop segment interpreted by a male voice that advises you “not to hang a Van Gogh in the cellar”, aka don’t take for granted the love you’re given and appreciate what you have.

It’s precisely the break that the song itself needs to stand on its’ own two feet as a wonderful, melodic from an up-and-coming artist.

“Compromise” comes hot on the heels of Halo’s debut track, “High Life”, an immersive, multi-layered song that deals with similar themes of love and pride.  The two compliment each other very well and set a really high bar for Halo’s upcoming debut album, which she’s currently hard at work on.
