Titanic composer James Horner confirmed dead in plane crash 

A single-engine plane registered to Oscar-winning composer James Horner has crashed in Southern California, and a friend said he believes that the Oscar-winning composer has died.

A single-engine plane registered to Oscar-winning composer James Horner crashed in Southern California.

Ventura County fire spokesman Mike Lindbery said the crash happened around 9:30am Monday in the Los Padres National Forest.

The pilot was killed. No one else was on board.

Horner’s assistant, Sylvia Patrycja, confirmed the death.

‘We have lost an amazing person with a huge heart, and unbelievable talent,’ Patrycja wrote on Facebook.

‘He died doing what he loved. Thank you for all your support and love and see you down the road.
