(KXTV/CNN) – During a police chase in Sacramento, bandits who had gotten away with a bag of iPads gave up their loot by throwing it out the car window.
Police said it all started when the trio broke into a Best Buy store and headed straight for the iPads.
The break-in set off the store’s security alarm, and officers spotted the three burglars leaving the store.
The trio jumped in a car and onto I-80 with police in pursuit.
During the chase, the thieves threw a duffel bag with the iPads in it out of the window.
The chases ended when police placed a spike strip in the road, flattening the tires of the suspects’ car.
All three were taken into custody.
