Young QC (born Qaw’mane Wilson) the rapper from Chicago who is current facing murder charges after allegedly orchestrating his mother’s death is said to be plead not guilty, says his lawyer Stephen L. Richards. “We don’t have to tell anybody any more than that right now — just not guilty,” he added. Young QC’s next court date is set for Feb. 7.

His mother, Yolanda Holmes was the successful owner of a popular Chicago hair salon. Police say that Young QC wanted to get his hands on the more than $90,000 in her bank accounts, and to also have access to the two life insurance policies she had that he was a beneficiary of.

After an investigation, Young QC was arrested and charged with murder and home invasion in the death of his mother. As for Eugene Spencer, the alleged hit man in this case, he received charges of first degree murder, as well as home invasion and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Phone records showed that Young QC contacted Spencer and Johnson before, after and even during the murder.
