A pregnant illegal immigrant was forced to give birth with her hands and feet shackled to a hospital bed – after she was arrested while driving for not having a valid licence.
Juana Villegas was eight-and-a-half months pregnant when she was pulled over by local police near Nashville, Tennessee, in 2008.
They found the mother-of-four was in the U.S. illegally and so took her into custody. When her waters broke she was cuffed to a bed and taken by ambulance to hospital, where she gave birth to baby Gael.
