Two West Virginia cousins have left authorities scratching their heads.
The duo, 37-year old Michael Graham and 35-year old John Barry, were stopped by Pennsylvania State Police because their license plate was dangling from their vehicle.
After being stopped, police found they were carrying a carload of stolen beef jerky and tool sets the men planned to sell for gas money.
An affidavit from authorities attests that the arresting officer spotted “a large amount of boxed and packaged beef jerky” and socket sets on the car’s rear seat.
Police say the cousins admitted stealing the items from auto parts and convenience stores. Who knew there was such a large black market for stolen beef jerky?
