A Pine Bluff police officer was booked into the Dub Brassell Detention Center here Thursday afternoon on a felony warrant and two misdemeanor charges stemming from an Oct. 8, 2011, one-vehicle accident in which his son was injured.
Billy Bradley, 42, remains employed as a patrolman, according to police spokesman Capt. Greg Shapiro.
Bradley was released on a $2,500 unsecured bond, according to a jail official who reported that an Arkansas State Police-filed warrant indicated that Bradley was charged with leaving the scene of a personal injury accident, a Class D felony; inadequate insurance, a Class A misdemeanor; and reckless driving, a Class B misdemeanor.
Bradley was booked into the jail at 4:12 p.m. and released at 4:35 p.m. Thursday, according to the sheriff’s department’s website.
A conviction on the felony charge could carry a punishment of up to six years of detention and/or a fine of up to $1,000. Convictions on the Class A and B misdemeanors can result in fines of up to $1,000 and $500 and/or jail sentences of up to a year and up to 90 days, respectively.
