In Tarpon Springs,Florida this past Monday, a man decided he was gonna rob the local pharmacy. He comes into the facility and jumps the counter, stabbing a clerk in the neck. Pretty much from there on it was all downhill for the criminal.
The clerk fought back, and so did the owner, and so did a customer. The suspect quickly goes from being the aggressor to being put on defense as he is held in a headlock right on the front counter while the employees wait for police to arrive. The owner then gets a baseball bat and takes a few swings at the man while he’s hemmed up on the counter.
The suspect appeared to give up, but then gouged the eyes of the clerk and ran out of the store, police say. The clerk gave chase but could not catch the suspect.
Police say a second suspect they detained gave them information leading them to Robert Blair, who was found in only his underwear and covered in mud. Police say witnesses at the store positively identified Blair as the suspect.
The injured employee, who was identified as 23-year-old Jordan Bennett, was transported to Bayfront Medical Center. He is reportedly doing well.
