Nicki Minaj called the judge who was widely criticized over her handling of rapper Meek Mill’s case “very sweet and maternal” in a new interview.
The 35-year-old rapper, and former girlfriend of Mill, told ELLE Magazine that she and Philadelphia Judge Genece Brinkley cried in her chambers when Minaj went to plead for his freedom.
“And she gave him another chance,” she said. “So I don’t know what’s going on.”
