Meet Winston – an artist hailing from New Orleans East. Winston has found way to combine his hard-working attitude with his musical career. And he has definitely perfected the recipe.

We recently caught up with Winston and here’s what he had to say:
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Tell us a little about yourself.
WINSTON: My name is Winston; I’m from the Eastside of New Orleans. My motto is “I want my f**** money!”
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Growing up, what and who influenced you musically?
WINSTON: Watching my big cousins rap – when I was younger, I wanted to be like them. My musical influences include the late great Soulja Slim, my late brother Bobby and Kevin Gates.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Who’d you look up to as a youngster?
WINSTON: My Uncle Cliff and my Uncle New York because they was gangstaz.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What can your fans look forward to you releasing?
WINSTON: I have my debut mixtape “AskBoutMe” and I plan to follow-up with the Don Solomon project.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What’s in your future?
WINSTON: Only God knows the future. Long as I’m living, I’m gonna be grinding.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: What’s your favorite kind of music?
WINSTON: I love all music. It don’t matter if it’s Pop, R&B, Rap, Country – long as it sounds good and tells a fire story.
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: If you had a piece of advice for a younger Winston, what would it be?
WINSTON: “Stay Focused.”
THE HEAT MAGAZINE: Where do you see your career in the next 2, 5 and 10 years?
WINSTON: I’ll be able to honestly say, I’m one of the biggest in the game.
