CHICAGO NATIVE, PRESTO X RELEASES NEW SINGLE “MY WAY”
Fresh out of the studio comes the latest hit single by up-and-coming young artist Presto X. Combining musical flair with excellent beat and a unique, soothing flow, Presto X’s latest is called “My Way”, and invites listeners to “come my way for love”.
Drawing on a wide pool of inspiration, “My Way” doesn’t fall into any one category, but rather it brings together the worlds of R&B, alternative pop and hip hop, to create a chill sound that’s gonna be just perfect for starting up your day.
The tune, which is available on SoundCloud, as well as YouTube, has a very catchy, easy to love vibe, that’s in part to do with Presto’s melodic voice and part the lyrical repetition. The song also integrates a spoken, barely audible fragment, which is just low enough so as not to disrupt the song, but just loud enough for you to get it, if you really want to. It’s definitely a unique and interesting choice, one that really sets the song apart from similar others.
Along with the track, Presto X has also released a sweet-flowing visualizer for those needing that extra kick. The video is a relaxed ‘journey’ into the city of Chicago, where Presto hails from, along the lines of musical vibrations. Though this may signify many things, we assume it’s supposed to represent Presto’s deep appreciation of the local music scene that has helped nurture and shape his own journey as a budding artist.
The visuals of the city, along with the title of the song, lead us to believe that ‘My Way’ is a deeply personal song for Presto, one that deals with his passion for music, as well as the challenges a young artist has to face.
Presto X, also known as Prince Young, is a twenty-two-year-old musician, who is, though at the very early stages of his career, already making waves in the local music scene with his ingenious use of auto-tune and beat.
