Connecticut-based artist CJ Varian aka One Time Beloved is a unique artist, creatively paving the way of his own lane. A former guitarist in a Tri State-based cover band, 2018 found One Time Beloved decides to step down from the group and soar as a solo artist. He made his official debut that same year with the track “Beautiful Ladies” which was followed up with several buzzing singles.
One Time Beloved has his sights set on a bigger vision with the release of his forthcoming track, “YSL” produced by Ant Chamberlain. Mixing Rock, Pop, and Trap music, the track finds One Time Beloved sharing his experiences, enjoying his newfound success, and calling out the fakes he’s encountered along the way. He effortlessly delivers on the track bringing out his own unique flow that perfectly compliments the production. “YSL” will surely put One Time Beloved on the culture’s radar in 2021 and will find him being mentioned in many conversations. “YSL” will be featured on One Time Beloved’s currently untitled debut full-length project that eyes an early to mid-2021 release. Along with the single’s release, a music video is in production to follow up.
Growing up in Connecticut, the music got a hold of One Time Beloved’s attention early. With influences like Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, and Slash early on, it was no surprise that he became quite skilled with the guitar. Later in life, he found inspiration from the likes of Post Malone and Travis Scott, as he honed his flow and lyrical game. His guitar skills lead him to play for a cover band. With over 50 shows done with the band, he soaked up a lot of experiences and developed as a performer even more. When not rocking crowds, One Time Beloved flexes his athletic abilities, as he is an avid football player. Since his exit from the band, he has released tracks like “Tedesco” featuring Kidd Prodigy, “Heartbreak”, and “H.M.L.”.
