Chicago Artist, Jason Ivy releases his latest project, “Shadows
Jason Ivy is an up-and-coming, unsigned musical artist based in Chicago, whose freshman EP project, CØMPLIMENTS (released 2/09/19), has earned over 300,000 streams on Spotify and Soundcloud, as well as Top 10 R&B album placements on both Amazon and iTunes.
Ivy has been a self-starter and entrepreneur in the Chicago music scene for the last two years since returning home from college at the University of Pennsylvania where he studied Neuroscience and Linguistics. Jason’s passion for music comes from its unique ability to tell a story, send a message, express feeling, and unite a myriad people all at once. His love for music has manifested itself in many forms, from touring in a gospel choir, performing in an a Capella group, and singing solo, to writing songs, rapping, producing, and playing the drums.

Jason Ivy’s style can best be described as a tasteful blend of RnB, Neo-Soul, Alt Rock, and “Lo-fi” Hip Hop music genres. Jason Ivy’s music offers a unique perspective that the rest of the current industry is missing. Having experienced the Southside of Chicago, as well as the endless opportunities of academia, he has seen both sides of the socioeconomic divide called privilege. It seems that Jason is taking huge strides towards his career goal of using this perspective to bridge the gap between the classes while offering his message to listeners in sonically pleasing packages.
