Check out the first video off the highly-anticipated GPNYC Records released EP “Day 2 Day Soul” by producer Prospek & soul singer Suave.
The group tell us that “This Can’t Work” serves as both a eulogy to love gone wrong and a promise of music gone right.
Suave’s soulful crooning mixes in a great way with Prospek’s live instrumentation and is all highlighted by a jazzy trumpet feature from Christopher Cotton of The Stooges Brass Band, one of the premiere brass bands out of New Orleans, Louisiana. It is no wonder their motto is “Respect, Trust & Loyalty”.
They describe this epic release as “a musical foretelling of what happens when chemistry meets craft.”
The video is shot on location in New Orleans and is directed and edited by All Work/No Play Productions – a huge accomplishment for a group that has been privileged to tour Europe and many other areas that love that New Orleans sound!
We look forward to seeing much, much more from these fellas and we are sure you will do the same.
