New Heat From Yung Amelly


In 2018 hip hop artist Yung Amelly revamped himself and began working with new school heavy hitter producers such as OG Parker, $K; AYO and D.A DOMAN racking up over 100 unreleased records.

Yung Amelly better known as Amel Lawrence Hines is from Detroit, Michigan and was born into a family of music professionals so it’s only natural he would carry on the legacy.

His father, Wilbert “Duncan” Hines, was a producer for M.C. Hammer in the early 90’s and was also part of the Motown Rap Group known as “DMV” (Detroit’s Most Wanted).

Amel found himself being inspired by music being heavily influenced by artists such as Jamie Foxx and Lil’ Wayne, B2K, Omarion, Marques Houston and Michael Jackson. He would study the movie “You Got Served” to learn the techniques of famous choreographers such as Dave Scott, Columbus Short, and Robert Hoffman.

Not a newbie in the game on 2013 Amel connected with Rap Duo TknCash for his first single “Talk That Shit” he virally promoted himself on social media and moved around with TknCash in Atl. He began to open up for artists in different regions. 

In 2014 Amel opened up for Interscope Recording Artist Wash in SXSW Austin, Texas garnering a big fan base in the southeast so he relocated to Charlotte, NC with his father who began to manage him. 

Amel released  “Bussin” summer single in 2015 on all platforms with a viral music video growing to the Top 75 urban radio charts. Amel was introduced to a lot superstars behind the scenes such as Rick Ross; Sevyn Streeter; Tory Lanez; & Kid Ink going to Private Meet & Greets in Charlotte, NC . He was introduced to serious contenders in the music scene at Hot Beats Recording Studios with some of the industries hottest producers creating their Trap influence signature, such as Red Zone, Young N Fly, Fayo & Chill, KE On The Track, Sonny Digital, Zay-Toven, Arsenals, The Globetrakkers, Ikey Boy, and more!

He than released his mixtape “Wayup” on SoundCloud which gained 2 million streams putting him on the map as a serious artist. He went on to perform on the HBCU college promo tour in 2016, shortly after he released “Work Dat” which hit radio rotation on Atlanta’s Streetz 94.5FM. 

In 2017 Amel began writing & placing his records with a lot of artist in Atlanta & rappers such as Jacquees “Dallas” 24 Heavy “DECIEVE” & The Dream/Tricky Stewart “Re Do”. He released many singles virally with official music videos on YouTube, VEVO and releasing the song on SoundCloud.

Back from a hiatus after taking a break from 2017 to help raise his kids. He came back in August 2021 with his hit single HeadSprung. With plan to drop his album in Summer 2022 be ready to hear more single dropping soon.
