Memphis Interstate Shooting Leaves Four Children and One Adult in Critical Condition

Memphis, TN – In a tragic incident late Tuesday, five individuals, including four children, were critically injured in a shooting along Interstate 240, east of downtown Memphis. The Memphis Police Department reported that officers responded to the scene shortly after 5 p.m., finding an empty vehicle riddled with bullet holes.

The victims, transported by a private vehicle, arrived at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis in critical condition. The injured include four children, ages 2 to 8, and a 30-year-old man. Due to the severity of their injuries, they were subsequently transferred to other hospitals for further treatment.

Two individuals now face charges in connection with the shooting, though further details regarding the suspects or their motives have not been disclosed.

The Memphis Police Department continues to investigate the incident and urges anyone with information to come forward. This shocking act of violence has deeply affected the community, highlighting the urgent need for measures to address and reduce gun violence in the area.
