The ongoing feud between Hip Hop star Nicki Minaj and singer Mariah Carey, both of whom are “American Idol” judges, continued to spill over during a heated argument in which Nicki was heard repeatedly cursing Mariah out. And things are not getting any better between the two. Barbara Walters, co-host of “The View”, said she spoke to Mariah recently and the singer revealed that Nicki Minaj threatened to shoot her.
Walters says she recently spoke with Mariah who told her “Nicki walked off the set and multiple people heard Nicki say, ‘If I had a gun I would shoot the b****.'” “The View” host also mentioned that Mariah was concerned for her safety and hired extra security.
While Nicki didn’t speak to anyone directly, she did take to Twitter to comment on the matter.
“I don’t call tmz n Barbara Walters cuz I stand on my own two feet. Never needed an army. God is good. Insecurity is as cruel as the grave.
I guess it hurts 2 have the producers tell u to ur face that nicki is the best judge we’ve had since simon. Awww, poor u. Keep them lies cmn.”
Fellow “American Idol” judge Keith Urban, who was caught between Nicki’s and Mariah’s shouting match, shared his opinion on his co-hosts’ issues.
“I love it, I gotta say. I love working with passionate people. I love artists. Everyone just sort of expressing themselves. It’s a very alive and very invigorating work environment.”
