MAN TO POLICE: ‘I’m High on Cocaine’

Columbus, Mississippi police probably thought that had seen it all – that is, until Tony Deloach crashed his Camaro into a parked SUV.  He tried to flee on foot, leaving behind a cocaine-laced rolled bill which, of course, one of the investigating officers turned up during a search of Deloach’s vehicle.

Around 5:45 a.m., Deloach lost control of his 2010 Camaro, causing him to strike a Kia Sportage that was parked in front of a home.  Both vehicles sustained heavy damage.

Neighbors called police and once they arrived, they located Deloach near the crash site.  When they entered the vehicle in search of his insurance card, an officer located a rolled-up dollar bill in the console. After Deloach realized what they found, he tried to flee.  After another officer arrived on the scene, Deloach began screaming, “I’m high on cocaine!” He was handcuffed and placed in a police cruiser when he started yelling, “I make $27 an hour, believe that! Ha!

Deloach has been charged with possession of cocaine, disorderly conduct, possession of drug paraphernalia, DUI, driving under suspension, and no proof of insurance.  Apparently, Deloach had insurance, but his card was unable to be located at the scene.

A Facebook page for “Tony Lilcash Deloach” of Brooksville, Mississippi has been located.  A status update from around the time the crash happened says he had a “minor set back” but “thats what insurance is for.”  It also has a post that states, “thank god for da airbag a nigga would been n dat casket.”
