A 69-year old Florida man was arrested this past week after motorists called 911 claiming the man was pointing a barbeque fork at them while claiming to be a police officer and attempting to stop vehicles.
The man, Howard Schultz of Pompano Beach, was found pointing a 10-inch fork at passing cars near a Walgreens store. Deputies with the Broward County Sheriff’s Office arrested the man and charged him with aggravated battery and impersonating a law enforcement officer.
The arrest report indicates that at least one driver pulled over for him and that he told officers he was “scared for his life†during the confrontation.
