Attorney General Tim Griffin has announced the arrest of 48-year-old Charlotte Dedmon of Little Rock on a felony charge of Medicaid fraud. Dedmon allegedly concealed her marriage to continue receiving Medicaid payments as a caregiver to her husband. After being informed by her previous provider that she was ineligible to serve as her husband’s caregiver, Dedmon switched to another provider and hid the marriage to maintain the payments.
This arrest highlights ongoing efforts to combat Medicaid fraud in the state. Further legal proceedings are expected as the case develops.
