I know what you are saying. “James, you could have Batman fight Superman in Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe and that game didn’t go over so well. What makes this any different?” Well ask yourself this, why didn’t you like MKvsDCU? More than likely you will bring up fatalities or lack there of. You see us MK fans have trained ourselves to expect a certain amount of blood and carnage from any product with the Mortal Kombat name tacked onto it. DC can’t have just anybody killing their superheroes, plus most of the heroes are bound by a strict moral code against taking a life, and Outworld couldn’t let DC heroes have all their powers. It seems kind of unfair is you ask me, so what is the obvious solution? Give them both a new separate game. MK got Mortal Kombat 9 with all its bloody, decapitating, dismembering, fatality glory and DC has Injustice: Gods Among Us giving the DC heroes back their laser beams, super speed, gadgets, and interstellar powers to duke it out for our enjoyment.
Injustice will feature a giant and rich cast of superheroes such as Batman, Cyborg, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman and many others. It is set in a world that the lines between right and wrong, good and bad, have melded together. Opening up brawling possibilities up to epic proportions.
Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment confirmed that Injustice: Gods Among Us, NetherRealm Studios will be released in April 2013 for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and the Wii U, so no matter what flavor you like your gaming platform you can get your hands on this title.
Personally I can’t wait to start kicking ass with Nightwing!
