Charlie Sheen turns 46 Today!
Carlos Irwin Estévez, the youngest son and third of four siblings born to actor Martin Sheen and artist Janet Templeton, arrived on September 3, 1965. He is known as the American film and television actor, Charlie Sheen. Talking about a working family, we are no stranger to his father Martin Sheen on the screen but in addition, all three of his siblings, two older brothers, Emilio Estévez and Ramon Estévez and baby sister, Renée Estévez, are all no strangers to the film world.
During his childhood he attended Santa Monica High School in Santa Monica, California, where he was a star pitcher and shortstop player for the baseball team and friends with the well known Rob Lowe and Sean Peen. Although he came from a very prestigious family, weeks before his high school graduation, Charlie Sheen was expelled from school because of his bad grades and lack of attendance. With not even a high school education he has managed to make his mark in life earning the most money every paid to an actor on a sitcom, “Two and a Half Men”, earning a whooping US$1.8 million per episode. Nothing compared to the income he earned on the sitcom Spin City, where in 2000 he replaced childhood actor, Michael J. Fox for the sitcom’s last two seasons.
He started his taste for the movie industry shooting amateur Super-8 films with his brother Emilio and school friends Rob Lowe and Sean Penn. But Sheen’s movie debut was at the age of nine in Martin Sheen’s 1974 film The Execution of Private Slovik. He became a household name for his roles in films as:
Platoon, The Apocalypse Now, The Wraith, Lucas, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Wisdom, No Man’s Land, Three For the Road, Never on Tuesday, Major League, Courage Mountain, Men at Work, Navy Seals, Young Guns, Hot Shots, Money Talks, Scary Movie 3, Scary Movie 4, Cadence, The Rookie, Beyond the Law, National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon 1, Deadfall, The Three Musketeers, Terminal Velocity, The Chase, Major League II, The Arrival, Shadow Conspiracy, Bad Day on the Block, Postmortem, A Letter from Death, Free Money, Lisa Picard is Famous, Five Aces, Silence of the Heart, Red Dawn, Pauly Shore is Dead, Due Date, Being John Malkovich, Eight Men Out, Men at Work, Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps, and No Code of Conduct, which he wrote, produced, and starred in.
