(HEAT ELITE) DJ Ro, a legend in the entertainment game

“If you admire somebody, you should go ahead and tell them. People never get the flowers while they can still smell them.” – Kanye West

Kanye’s on to something.

We always tweet, Instagram and Facebook #RIP posts when someone passes, but what do we do while they’re here? Let’s make it a point to give people their roses while they’re here. That’s what prompted The Heat to start a new series of posts where we will let those we admire know how much we appreciate their efforts and input into the entertainment business. After all, we couldn’t imagine a world without just that sort of input – entertainment, whether it be music, art, acting, sports, spoken word, or any other form, keeps the world turning.

Today’s HEAT ELITE is New Orleans’ own DJ Ro.

Ro has been in the game for several decades. In fact, he’s helped to add New Orleans flavor to musically globally. One of the Q93 Boyz, Ro has made a huge difference not only with his work on the turntables, but in the community with the charity work he performs on a regular basis. Ro is known for giving back – something he has done for years, most notably through his DET Dream Foundation.

#Salute Ro!
