(WPVI) — Fallen firefighter Joyce Craig, 36, was getting full honors from her Philadelphia fire family Saturday morning.
The funeral procession headed up Broad Street to the Batchelor Brothers Funeral home for the second viewing for the 11-year veteran.
Her casket was draped in an American Flag over a truck from Engine 64. It traveled with her brothers and sisters aboard, trailed by bagpipers playing Amazing Grace.
Friday night, Craig’s family arrived for the first viewing. She leaves behind a 16-year-old son and 16-month-old daughter.
Craig died while battling a fire in West Oak Lane early Tuesday morning.
She was working overtime at Engine 73
A memorial fund has been set up for Craig’s children. Checks can be made payable to the “Local 22-Joyce Craig Memorial Fund” and mailed to 901 Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19107.
