Federal authorities have seized more than 350 websites allegedly involved in the sale of illegal Glock switches and silencers. The devices, known as Glock switches, can convert semi-automatic handguns into fully automatic weapons, making them illegal under U.S. law.
The investigation, which began in August 2023, was spearheaded by the Department of Justice. Federal officials have been targeting numerous websites, businesses, and individuals involved in the sale, import, and export of these illegal conversion devices. The seizure is part of a broader effort to crack down on the distribution of unregulated firearm modifications that pose a significant threat to public safety.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the network behind these sites and plan to prosecute those involved.
