Facebook Account Hijacked, Ransomed For Nude Pics

A man stands accused of hijacking a woman’s Facebook and Gmail accounts, holding them hostage and demanding nude photos as ransom.

John Joaquim III managed to hack into an unnamed 20-year-old woman’s social media and personal email accounts, he then harrassed her by sending a slew of emails instructing her to send him nude photos of herself.

The young Monroe, Connecticut victim notified police on June 14, informing them of the man’s threats to not release her accounts until she complied with his requests.

The victim, claims she does not know Joaquim but he does live in her town.

According to the Daily Mail, friends of the victim says that she feels violated and is very upset over the incident.

Joaquim turned himself into police on Monday. The teen faces charges of first-degree criminal attempt to commit larceny by extortion and two counts of computer crimes extortion and computer crimes. He was released on a bond of $7,500 and will face a judge on August 17.
