Apparently the signs near registers in this day and age that say, “No bills larger than $20” don’t mean much in North Carolina.
Authorities there say that one of their residents attempted to purchase $476 worth of Wal-Mart merchandise, using a million dollar bill that was “real”. Ummmmm, yeah …. Dude gets the side-eye for that. What was he thinking? Better yet, wonder what was going through that cashier’s mind? Interesting, to say the least.
According to the Winston-Salem Journal, 53-year old Michael Fuller tried to pay with a million dollar bill (ahem, as if there’s such a thing) when attempting to purchase a vacuum cleaner, microwave oven and other miscellaneous items. Employees called police after Fuller insisted the bill was real. Everybody knows that (in our Phaedra Parks voice) the largest bill denomination in the U.S. is $100.
Fuller was charged with attempting to obtain property by false pretense and uttering a forged instrument. He was jailed on $17,500 bond and is scheduled for court on Tuesday.
Shoutout to Michael Fuller from The Heat Magazine. You get an “A” for effort buddy, but an “E” for #EPICFail!
