David Banner has led a fruitful career, but the famed southern rapper and activist told DJ Smallz that he’s ready to slow down in two years to focus on starting a family. He explained that he wouldn’t have the career he has today if he had kids, because Banner explained that he would put most or all of his focus on them.

The “Get Like Me” emcee also used examples of fellow emcees like Snoop Dogg and Andre 3000 who put their kids before music, as Banner pointed out that during football season Snoop puts his tours on hold to coach his league.
